Our Norfolk marine insulation team completed a one-week exhaust insulation replacement project in Virginia Beach, removing outdated lagging and installing high-performance removable insulation pads. We designed and installed the new system using silicone cloth with high-temperature fiberglass inserts, providing a durable solution for managing extreme heat in exhaust components.
To meet the tight timeline, we fabricated the insulation pads on-site, allowing us to move quickly and efficiently from day one. Because we had materials already stocked locally in Norfolk, we were able to avoid delays and complete the project ahead of schedule, helping the customer keep their operations on track.
The new insulation system delivers long-term value by retaining heat within exhaust components, which supports improved turbocharger performance and lowers lifecycle costs. Our removable pad design also makes future maintenance faster and safer, reducing downtime and eliminating the need for time-consuming removal methods.
