C.E. Thurston partnered with the customer as they consolidated finished product from multiple warehouses in the United States and abroad into a single distribution center serving North and South America. For their newly leased facility in Chesapeake, Virginia, our team designed and installed a 24-foot-tall Husky pallet rack system, maximizing vertical storage within the building’s 30-foot ceilings. The system was engineered to support high-volume inventory while improving organization and workflow.
What made this project unique was the urgency of the delivery and installation. Product shipments were already arriving from other locations before the rack system was finalized, requiring precise coordination to ensure the facility remained operational throughout the transition.
The installation was completed quickly and met all performance expectations. The customer was extremely satisfied with the results and has since expanded the system twice to support continued growth.
